Ed Begley has distinguished himself in both his carreer and as
an environment activist.
In 2003, Ed Begley, Jr. wrote, directed and produced the play "Cesar
& Ruben", which was based on the life of Cesar Chavez.
The Valley Theater League recognized Ed Begley's work on the play
and awarded him two awards for directing and producing. He was

also honored with a the 2003 Nosotros, Margo & Eddie Albert
Golden Eagle Award. To celebrate Ed Begley's activism and support
of Cesar Chavez, he was bestowed the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation
Award.
Ed's portrayal of Dr. Victor Ehrlich in the hit show St. Elsewhere
earned him six Emmy nominations. Ed Begley has also been nominated
for an American Comedy Award and a Golden Globe.
